November 2

What a special day November 2 is. Yes it's my birthday, but that's not why I think it's special. I share a birthday with one of the most amazing little boys in this world, Davin. I seriously can not believe he is four years old. Four years ago I was in labor for 12 hours and 42 minutes ((which I thought would NEVER EVER end)), not knowing what to expect as a first time mom. I was so scared, I didn't have a clue what I was doing or what to do when he would arrive. I soon realized that bringing a baby into this world is truly one of the biggest blessings that has ever been a part of my life. Davin has taught me so much about myself, motherhood, patience ((what kid doesn't!?)), and just how precious life really is. I love that boy more then I ever could explain, and I'm so grateful that he picked Brady and I to be his earthly parents, because I have no clue where we would ever be in this world, with out his sweet little spirit. SOOO I know this post is late, but here are just a few of my favorite things about him, and a few cute pictures as well.

1. When we walk in the door after work, the first thing he ALWAYS says is "are you guys done with work!?" and then jumps up to give us hugs.
2. The way he loves the color pink. We know he's tough enough to wear pink so we don't mind--one day we told him it was for girls and he told me "My uncle Bobbie's favorite color is purple so mine is pink." Okay then :)
3. His nearly never-ending energy.
4. Love his little giggle, its so stinking cute.
5. He considers Trevin his best friend--although they can be worst enemies at the same time. He's an amazing big brother.
6. He will randomly tell people he loves them out of the blue--and it literally melts your heart.
7. The way he acts so silly when he's tired--He get's a little crazy!
8. The way he loves his Daddy--I love watching them together and love that they're so close.
9. His singing--You know Davin is in a perfectly good mood when he sings!
10. I love his sweet little smile--it would brighten any ones day!

Halloween 2011

We carved pumpkins 2 nights before Halloween. I know kind of late but it was still a lot of fun.

Davin changed his mind a thousand times before he decided he wanted to be Spiderman. Trevin was the cutest lion ever. Every time someone asked him what a lion said he would put his "claws" up and try and growl. I'm so happy that it was warmer this year on Halloween then it was last year. Last year it was blowing and rain/sleeting, it was awful. It was so fun to be able to go in our own neighborhood this year also. Here are a few pictures of the cutest spiderman and lion ever!

October Fun

Usually I don't really get TOO excited for the holidays. Now that we are in our own house and in town ((which I still need to post pictures of...)) I've been so excited for the holidays to start. Brady is about sick of me making things and it's only October. It's been fun especially for my boys, except Davin keeps asking me "mom why are you doing that?" "mom why do we need this here?". But him and Trev have been the best helpers.

My really good friend Kaycee came over and we made these pumpkins. I wish I still had a picture of hers. She made hers shorter and they turned out super cute. I made some for Bradys mom to put on her porch and she loved them!

The Boys made this skeleton. It's just a little puzzle that goes on the fridge. They've loved it so far. Trevin likes taking pieces off just to make Davin mad haha.

The Boys and Brady and I made this little spider. I painted everything black, Brady and the boys did the wire, and Dav helped paint the face. Trevin will lay down in front of the spider on his belly and just stare at it. It's been cute to have!

It's been so fun living in a "neighborhood". Sunday night we heard a knock at the door so Brady answered it and there was nobody there. But there were some oatmeal chocolate chip cookies at the doorstep. It had a note on it that said we had been hit by the Halloween Phantom and we had to pass two treats to two neighbors in two days or we would have a curse. Dav, Trev, and I made these pumpkin cupcakes. I thought it was fun making the cupcakes--but the boys thought it was hilarious that we put them on the doorstep, knocked, and then ran as fast as we could. We got Bradys sisters ((his parents aren't home right now :( )). After we rang the doorbell Aunt Rieley opened the door and their dog was barking and we were hiding by the garage and Trevin kept saying "mom that's pooka, that's pooka". I'm really surprised that Rie didn't hear him...

So far it's been fun, I'm excited to see what other fun we can come up with in the next couple of months.

Brothers and Best Friends

Brady tells me often of how him and his older brother Bobbie were close growing up. They hung out with each other, had some of the same friends..they weren't only brothers, but friends too. I love seeing this in my boys as they grow together. The other day Davin was running full speed in the yard and wiped out on the grass, so what did Trev do?? He ran and wiped out on purpose right by Dav. If Dav is sad, Trev is sad. If Davin says something, Trevin will say the exact same thing in the exact same tone. Trevin copies EVERYTHING that his big brother does. I think it is the most adorable thing ever. I love that they're best friends....

Davins First Fish

About a month ago ((I know Im awful at blogging lately)) we went up to a family reunion and got to see a lot of my family. My grandpa and Uncle Greg had their fishing boats up there. Davin wanted to go fishing on the boat so we took him out and he caught TWO fish within minutes of each other. He reeled them both in by himself and he was sooo excited...until the fish got close to him then he didn't want anything to do with it.

I was one proud mama!!!!!!!!!!

Ride In The Mountains

A couple weeks ago, Brady and I went for a horse ride in the high Uintahs with his dad and a family friend and his kids. It was a long day but so worth it! We left around 730 am and got back at about 830 or 9 pm. I can't even begin to explain how beautiful it was up there. The water was so so blue. We stopped and went fishing at I think 3 or 4 different lakes. I caught like a 5 inch fish--I was pretty proud haha.

This was on the way up, It just got prettier and prettier

I was attempting to get a picture of Brady and I while trying to ride my horse...

4 different spots and they were all so beautiful

This was after the long day--just right before we got off the trail and loaded the horses back up to go home. There is Brady, Rick, Dave, Chezney, Gavin, and Jazzy. Such a fun day!

Puppies Puppies Puppies

We had another batch of puppies and they are so stinking cute. My boys have loved them, especially Davin. Trevin only likes them from a distance, or if he chooses to be near them. If they come near him he kind of freaks out a little. Anyways, if you want one let me know!!!!!! Both of their parents are working dogs! And don't laugh at how Dav is dressed, he picked what he wanted to wear, and I personally think he looks very cute! haha, he loves John Deere what can I say???

Erins Homecoming :)

Bradys little sister, Erin, has been gone on her mission for 19 months. She was called to the Birmingham Alabama mission. She was suppose to be home in June but they extended her call for awhile longer. This last Thursday on July, 7th, we got to go pick her up from the airport!!! Karlee and I made shirts for everyone to wear. On all the fronts we put "Welcome Home Erin" in different designs and then on the back of each we put something different. Daves: "Proud Dad. May break out in a dance." Jens: "Excited Mom. May break out crying at any time." Bradys: "Big Brother" Mine: Sister In Law" Rieleys: "Older Sister" Karlees: "Old Sister" ((Karlees friend Cali went with us)) Calis: "New Sister" On the fronts of Dav and Trevs we put "Hooray!! My Aunt Erin Is Home!!" And on the back of theirs we put "Nephew #1" and "Nephew #4".

On Mothers Day when we got to skype with her she asked Jen if she had a chain up yet to count down the days until she came home. Dav and I went home and made one and put it up. There were 61 days left at that point and it was draping over the banister on the stairs. Dav would always ask Grandma "did we sleep so we can rip a chain down?" He got to take the last chain off that morning--he was so excited!

Trevin got to eat licorice the whole way out--he was happy about that!

Dav, Aunt Kar and Cali

Just waiting for the flight to come in!

Our headbands were awesome :)

Two very anxious and excited parents :)

My two boys were running everywhere and they were so excited to be there!

Funny picture--This was RIGHT before Brady went to see if her flight had arrived. I told Jen I wanted to get a picture with her before we all started crying and her response was "we better hurry!" Not 5 seconds later Brady yelled over to his mom "her flight landed" and Jen started crying...it was so sweet!

Here she comes!! We seriously waited forever!

Proud Daddy and Mama!

Two VERY proud sisters!

Davin was sitting on Bradys shoulders and kept asking and asking where his Aunt Erin was. He gave her the biggest hug--I bawled :) Trevin was exactly 1 week old when Erin left for the MTC so he didn't really know who she was. But boy does he love her now!

VERY proud big brother! This is also Sister Anderson. She was one of Erins favorite companions. She is 37! They got to fly home together and we waited forever for Sister Anderson to come ou of the terminal thing because she was teaching somebody!

The boys got to go for a ride on Aunt Erins luggage. Poor Davin. We got home Thursday night and he went to bed and woke up at 6 the next morning and said "MOM..I want to go down to Grandmas and say bye to Erin before she goes on the plane." He was pretty excited to find out that he is stuck with her forever now!! He wouldn't leave her side from the airport on!

Let me just say that even writing this post makes me all choked up and teary. I have never been at the airport when a missionary has been welcomed home. What an amazing spirit and such an awesome experience. It was so special to see the family reunite and look so proud of their daughter/sister/niece/cousin. I know that I am so very proud of Erin, and so very blessed to have her be the example that she has been to my family and to my kids. It just reminds me why I am so blessed and lucky to be a member of this church. I'm very blessed to have the family that I do!!
